School Year Care/Summer School Before and After School Care

Welcome to the Character Kids Club Program (CKC), the Fox C-6 School District’s child care program for students attending Building Blocks and Kindergarten-5th grade. 

Character Kids Club (CKC) is a unique childcare program offered in your child's elementary school. This program offers child care each morning before school, and each afternoon after dismissal. Participating students engage in homework time, arts and crafts, gym time, and outside play time. 

Our Family Handbook is designed to familiarize you with the program’s philosophies and procedures. Please review this handbook carefully, and if you have any questions about procedures, please feel free to ask our CKC staff or call our office.  The procedures within this handbook are not to exclude or supersede Fox C-6 District policies.  Character Kid’s Club will update and amend its procedures as situations warrant. 

Please note: Unlike a typical daycare center, CKC operates within school buildings and works in conjunction with the district calendar and various district departments. The program operates as often as possible to assist and serve our families; however, closures due to weather, staff training, and location changes are necessary to ensure building upkeep, improvements, and overall safety are met for our students and families. Thus, our year round options and various days throughout the school year do leave days and weeks without the option of care.

Program Hours: 

• Morning Hours: 6:15 AM - School Begins 
• Afternoon Hours: Dismissal - 6:15 PM

Full Day Care

Character Kids Club offers Full Day Care during the school year on extended breaks.

Dates Full Day Care is offered for the 25-26 school year includes:

• March 16-20, 2026; Registration will open on January 26 at 7:00am and close on February 27 at 4:00pm.

***Please note that all Full Days are currently at capacity. Any additional registrations will be placed on a waitlist; however, we cannot guarantee that any spots will open before spring break. We encourage families to make alternate childcare arrangements as needed.***

All care will take place at the Fox Service Center (849 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold MO) from 7:00am-5:30 pm.

Pre-registration is required. NO walk-ins the day of service will be permitted.

Children will need a sack lunch, a morning and an afternoon snack, and a refillable water bottle.

Summer School 2026 Before and After school care

ALL DATES ARE TENTATIVE: Pending inclement weather days

Summer school student attendance dates : June 2 - June 30 (No School June 19)

Open House for Middle and Elementary Schools: Wednesday, May 20 (5:00-7:00 pm)

CKC online registration opens on March 30 at 8:00 am

CKC online registration closes on May 8 at 4:00 pm

Please register for care at the summer school location your child will attend based on their "home" school during the school year. If your child is entering 5th grade, please be sure to register for summer school care at Seckman Middle School.

Summer Camp 2026

Character Kids Club (CKC) Summer Camp is a full-day childcare program offered during the month of July. Camp operates Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Our CKC Summer Camps are organized by grade level and give children the opportunity to choose from a variety of weekly themed adventures, creating a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate summer experience.

Location:
All Summer Camp programming will take place at Simpson Elementary School.

Dates of Care:

• July 6–July 30, 2026
• No care will be provided on July 31, 2026

Families are encouraged to review the Summer Camp Handbook for detailed information about camp themes, activities, and expectations.

Registration Information:

• Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026
• Registration closes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026
